Renée Van Trier (1983) is a musician, performer and painter.
After graduating from Sint Lucas Graphic Design in Boxtel, St Joost Fine Arts in Breda, Van Trier obtained a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam.
Van Trier continued her training with a residency at the Otis College of Art and Design (Los Angeles) then at the CEAC Center (Xiamen, China).
Van Trier has been selected for the Mondriaan Fund Stipendium for Established Artists (2023-2027)
She has exhibited at De Pont Museum (Tilburg), Arsenic Theater (Lausanne),
Centre Pompidou (Paris), Stedelijk Museum ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Showroom MAMA (Rotterdam) and Albert van Abbehuis (Eindhoven).
She has performed at Palais De Tokyo (Paris), Paradiso (Amsterdam),
Bad Bonn Kilbi Festival (Düdingen), Grimm Museum (Berlin),
MADHOUSE (Helsinki), Gare Du Nord (Basel), Pukkelpop (Hasselt),
Incubate Festival (Tilburg) and Les Urbaines Festival (Lausanne).
